Very often I felt like surrendering and didn’t understand why the more merit I made the more degrading my life was until I became penniless. I felt as if I was in the dark. However, no matter how bad it was I would not give in and I chose to fight to my death. I changed from being downhearted to taking up the challenge. Finally I found out the best solution was not to think about it and to motivate myself to keep on making merit with an assurance that one day the merit will certainly yield fruit.
My life is changed because of the mass ordination project. I change my negative thoughts about the monk… Now! He was a regional manager who had a perfect life. He had a good job with high salary but he had negative thoughts about the monk. How did he change his mind? What does he get from this ordination?
Dhammakaya Foundation has helped the monks in four unrest Southern provinces in Thailand by arranging the morning alms round since June 2005. We keep doing like this for protecting and keeping our Buddhism.
PATHUM THANI 22 APRIL 2015 - More than 200,000 monks and novices from every region of Thailand as well as and monk visitors from 12 countries and lay Buddhists from Thailand and overseas travelled to the Dhammakaya Temple in Pathum Thani province for a historic gathering to create “global-cooling effects” with prayer, meditation, and giving on the Earth Day 22 April 2015.
